Virginia Giuffre Involved in Car Accident Amidst Renewed Scrutiny
Virginia Giuffre, known for her allegations against Prince Andrew, has recently been involved in a motor vehicle incident, years after her accusations of sexual assault against the royal first surfaced in 2019. The news of the accident comes as Giuffre remains a figure of public interest.
Giuffre, 41, shared details of the event in an Instagram post on Sunday, March 30, stating, “This year has been an exceptionally difficult start, and while I won’t elaborate on all specifics, it’s important to note that when a school bus traveling at 110 kilometers per hour impacts your vehicle as you are decelerating for a turn, the structural integrity of your car becomes irrelevant.”
Accompanying her post was a photograph appearing to depict injuries, including a black eye, seemingly taken from a hospital setting. Giuffre currently resides in Australia.
In her caption, she further claimed, “I have experienced kidney renal failure, and have been given a prognosis of four days to live. I am being transferred to a specialized urology hospital. I am prepared for what may come, but my foremost desire is to see my children one last time. I extend my gratitude to all the wonderful individuals in my life. God bless you all, Virginia.”
However, authorities in Australia have stated that no injuries were reported in connection with the accident involving Giuffre.
Details of Virginia Giuffre’s Accident
According to her Instagram post, Giuffre indicated her involvement in a collision with a bus. She described the bus as traveling at approximately 100 kilometers per hour, equivalent to around 70 miles per hour. She did not provide further specifics regarding the crash, but mentioned receiving a dire medical prognosis from doctors.
Family’s Concern for Giuffre’s Condition
Giuffre’s father, Sky Roberts, expressed concern about his daughter’s wellbeing in a statement to The Telegraph on Monday, March 31.
“It is possible that she could pass away within four days, as she has indicated,” he told the publication. “However, if she consults another physician, there may be alternative treatments available. We are awaiting further information.”
Police Statement on the Incident
Australian police informed People magazine on Tuesday, April 1, of a “minor collision” between a bus and a passenger vehicle occurring just outside Perth. Authorities stated to the publication that no injuries were reported at the scene of the incident, and no individuals were transported to a medical facility.
“The traffic incident was reported by the bus operator on the subsequent day. The vehicle involved sustained approximately $2,000 in damages,” the police statement disclosed.
Royal Family’s Reaction and Commentary
The royal family has not yet issued any public statement regarding the situation. In contrast, Lady Victoria Hervey, Prince Andrew’s former partner, offered remarks on the matter. Us Weekly has reportedly contacted Giuffre for comment.
“If Virginia Giuffre is indeed facing a life-threatening situation, a complete and truthful admission is warranted,” Hervey stated on Monday. “However, I am skeptical of this claim. It is my understanding that the FBI is currently investigating her, and arrest warrants are impending. This alleged health crisis may be a convenient fabrication to avoid potential legal repercussions.”
Hervey further asserted that “credible sources” have informed her that “the FBI recently confronted [Giuffre] with evidence suggesting inconsistencies in her statements, including recordings where she purportedly admits that no sexual encounter with Prince Andrew ever transpired.”
Background of Giuffre’s Allegations Against Prince Andrew
Giuffre publicly accused Prince Andrew in 2019 of sexual assault during her minority, alleging their introduction was facilitated through Andrew’s association with Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased financier and convicted sex offender. Prince Andrew subsequently stepped back from his official royal roles but has consistently and strongly refuted the accusations. He and Giuffre reached an out-of-court settlement for an undisclosed sum in 2022.
