Diletta Leotta, the partner of former Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius, has described feeling “humiliated” following an intrusive security screening at a German airport. The prominent TV presenter alleged that security personnel subjected her to a distressing search, including the squeezing of her breasts and being “tickled” while nearly undressed. Leotta’s Account of the Security Procedure
Speaking to Radio 105, as reported by Bild, Leotta detailed the incident: “I was returning to Italy and, upon passing through the metal detector, a female officer approached me for a check. She proceeded to squeeze my breasts, which left me feeling rather embarrassed.”
She continued, “At one point, I had removed almost all of my outerwear, wearing very little underneath. I indicated to her, ‘Look, I have nothing under my arms.’ However, she insisted on tickling me under my arms, which I found to be incredibly torturous. She then instructed me to remove my shoes and proceeded to tickle the soles of my feet.”

Leotta, a prominent sports presenter covering Serie A for DAZN, has been frequently seen supporting Karius since his transfer to Schalke in the January transfer window. Karius, seeking to revitalise his football career in Germany’s second tier, joined the Gelsenkirchen-based club on a contract until the season’s end. This move followed his departure from Newcastle and a period out of regular first-team football, with his last competitive appearance for Newcastle in February of the previous year.

Karius has since featured in Schalke’s recent fixtures, with Leotta often present in the stands. She shared her impressions of the Schalke atmosphere with RND, saying, “I attended the match in Gelsenkirchen against Preussen Munster two weeks ago and witnessed a packed stadium with over 60,000 fans, similar to the following week in Berlin. It was surprising to experience such an engaging second division with such a dedicated fanbase.”
Acknowledging her demanding work schedule, Leotta added, “Of course, my Serie A broadcasting commitments almost every week will make frequent visits challenging – but whenever time allows, I will gladly return.”
