Raducanu’s Comeback After Injury Setbacks
For Raducanu, reaching the top 50 signifies a remarkable achievement following a difficult couple of years marked by injury. In mid-2023, she underwent surgery on both wrists and her right ankle. A series of minor injuries subsequently hampered her attempts to improve her ranking last year.

Having previously reached a high of world No. 10 in 2022, Raducanu is aiming to climb even higher than her current No. 48 ranking. In positive developments, she conveyed feeling happier and more at ease both professionally and personally. “Despite the defeat, I can extract valuable positives from this week and look forward,” Raducanu stated.
“I think I need to pause and assess my current approach. This week was encouraging, but I need to evaluate matters and then formulate a plan moving forward. Feeling competitive, content, and relaxed both on and off the court is the most significant takeaway and something to be pleased about.”
“Just being able to disconnect and enjoy time with them, playing Spikeball before matches and establishing routines provides moments of happiness that sustain you.”
