A wigmaker is accused of causing a devastating traffic collision in New York City that tragically resulted in the deaths of a mother and her two young daughters. The incident has sparked outrage and grief within the local community. Authorities are investigating the crash, focusing on the actions of the driver, identified as Miriam Yarimi, and the circumstances leading up to the fatal event.

Miriam Yarimi, 32, a wigmaker, was driving an Audi on Saturday when the incident occurred. According to law enforcement officials, Yarimi was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
The accident took place in Midwood, Brooklyn, as a family of four attempted to cross Ocean Parkway.
Details of the Incident
According to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, Yarimi’s Audi collided first with a taxi operating as a ride-sharing service. The force of the initial impact propelled the taxi aside, after which Yarimi’s vehicle continued and struck the family.
Emergency responders, including firefighters, had to extricate Yarimi from her car. She was reported to be in stable condition following the crash.

Paramedics transported the injured family to a local hospital. Tragically, the 35-year-old mother and her two daughters, aged 6 and 8, succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead. The youngest child, a 4-year-old son, remains in critical condition.

The witness recounted his immediate response: ‘I quickly ran, called 911, reported it in there. There was emergency Hatzalah there on the scene within two minutes of that phone call, they came in there.’
He further detailed the emergency medical efforts, ‘They performed CPR on the lady. There was another kid right next to that…and they did CPR on them. There was a little boy did the CPR, and hopefully they got a pulse on him. Just really ugly scene.’
