Holly Madison and Zak Bagans End Relationship
Holly Madison, known for her time as a Playboy Bunny, and Zak Bagans, the host of Ghost Adventures, have officially ended their romantic involvement. This time, according to Madison, the breakup is final. The celebrity split marks the conclusion of an on-again, off-again relationship that has been closely followed by fans. In a recent podcast episode, Madison shared details about the separation, confirming it is permanent.
Final Breakup Confirmed on Podcast
Madison, 45, revealed the news on her podcast, “Girls Next Level,” with co-host Bridget Marquardt. She explained that the parting occurred shortly after the passing of her friend, Luke “The Dingo” Trembath.
“And then the day after that, Zak and I broke up for good, for good,” Madison stated on the podcast. She acknowledged the couple’s history of separations, adding, “I know we’ve been very off and on, you guys are probably like, ‘You guys broke up last spring, right?’”
Past Relationship Volatility
Madison described her romance with Bagans, 47, as “very off and on,” stressing the definitive nature of this separation.
“Yeah, it was very off and on for the course of like the five-and-a-half years we were together,” she elaborated. “We were very off and on for the past year, very much. So we broke up and I mean unfollowed on social media, which we’ve never unfollowed each other before through all the breakups.”
Relationship Timeline
Madison and Bagans’ relationship began in June 2019. Prior to Bagans, Madison was married to Electric Daisy Carnival founder Pasquale Rotella. Their divorce was finalized in February 2019. Madison and Rotella are parents to two children:
- Daughter Rainbow, born in March 2013
- Son Forest, born in August 2016
Madison’s History with Hugh Hefner
Before her relationship with Rotella and Bagans, the Holly’s World personality was famously involved with Hugh Hefner from 2001 to 2008. Her time with the Playboy founder was documented for three years on the E! reality show, The Girls Next Door.
Initially known as Hefner’s “main girlfriend” following his separation from Tina Jordan, Madison became part of a prominent trio alongside Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson.
Memoir Details Playboy Mansion Experiences
Madison authored a memoir in 2015, Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny, where she recounted her experiences in the Playboy Mansion. In the book, she made allegations about drug offers and detailed what she described as unusual rules and regulations imposed on the women living there.
Reflecting on her decision to move into the mansion, Madison wrote, “I thought I was an adult and thought I was making my free choice. And I was,” but added, “But I wasn’t sophisticated or really prepared. And kind of got in over my head. … I could understand how people thought it was strange. But I guess I wasn’t comfortable enough to explain why I thought it would be fun or why I thought it would be a good idea.”
