The popular fighting game MultiVersus is expanding its roster with the addition of two new fighters: Samurai Jack, from the Cartoon Network/Adult Swim animated series, and Beetlejuice, of the eponymous film and its highly anticipated sequel. Additionally, a competitive ranked mode is set to launch in the game.
New Characters Arrive in Season 2: Back in Time
Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice are introduced as part of the Season 2: Back in Time update, commencing July 23rd. Samurai Jack will be immediately playable upon release, wielding his iconic katana. Beetlejuice will join the MultiVersus lineup later in the season, with Warner Bros. confirming his availability prior to the theatrical release of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” on September 6th.
Ranked Mode and New Map Enhance Gameplay
Season 2 will also feature a new ranked mode, offering players the chance to compete for leaderboard positions and unlock exclusive, rank-based cosmetic rewards. Furthermore, a fresh arena, the Warner Bros. Water Tower map, will be incorporated into the game.
MultiVersus Continues to Expand
MultiVersus is currently available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC. Since its relaunch, the game has consistently expanded its character selection, with recent additions including The Joker, Agent Smith from The Matrix, and Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th.
