Pedro Pascal Opens Up About Wild Coffee Order Going Viral: 'Violating'

Pedro Pascal Reacts to Viral Coffee Order

Actor Pedro Pascal, known for The Last of Us, has addressed the online frenzy surrounding his unconventional coffee order, which went viral after being spotted on a Starbucks cup.

In March 2023, a social media video capturing Pascal greeting a fan outside a Starbucks location unintentionally exposed his elaborate morning beverage. The label detailed a venti iced quad espresso with extra ice and six shots of espresso, a caffeinated concoction that sparked considerable online discussion. For context, a single espresso shot typically contains approximately 63-64 milligrams of caffeine.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Take on the “Insane” Coffee

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jimmy Kimmel playfully confronted Pascal about the now-famous drink order. Kimmel, displaying a magnified image of the Starbucks label, described it as “an insane order.”

Pascal, appearing slightly embarrassed, responded with humor, exclaiming, “I cannot begin to tell you how violating this was!”

Pascal Explains His Caffeine Ritual

The actor then elaborated on the reasoning behind his high-caffeine morning routine.

“There’s a lot of background to how it escalated to six shots of espresso,” Pascal clarified. “It started as a quad, but as cup sizes increased and the strength of the shots seemed to diminish, it gradually evolved to six.”

He added, “It was a deeply personal morning habit that I never intended to share with anyone.”

Pascal mentioned that he doesn’t consume any more coffee throughout the rest of the day, prompting Kimmel to jokingly label the beverage a “methaccino.”

“You sip it, get a significant energy boost, and tackle emails and other tasks,” Pascal lightheartedly added, describing the effects of his potent morning drink.

Internet Reacts with Awe and Concern

When Pascal’s intense coffee order went viral in 2023, it garnered reactions ranging from astonishment to apprehension. With six espresso shots, the venti beverage delivers approximately 380 milligrams of caffeine. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommends a daily limit of around 400 milligrams of caffeine for adults.

The viral Starbucks order even sparked headlines like “Pedro Pascal’s Starbucks Order Is Stressing Us Out” from Elle. Social media users also joined the conversation, with humorous questions like “IS HE OKAY????” and “Someone check his vitals” trending on TikTok.
