Jaime King Addresses Legal Disputes and Custody Arrangements
Jaime King is clarifying details surrounding recent legal issues.
Actress Responds to Landlord Lawsuit
The Sin City star has commented on a lawsuit initiated by her former landlord in January. The legal action alleged outstanding rental payments of approximately $42,580.
Speaking to Us Weekly on March 24, King stated, “The situation with my landlord was resolved privately.” She further added, “It is disappointing, though not surprising, to witness individuals attempting to exploit this period for personal gain. My focus remains on my children, who are my utmost priority.”
Custody Arrangement Details Emerge
King shares two sons, James, 12, and Leo, 10, with her former spouse, Kyle Newman. Recently, the 45-year-old actress was mandated by a California judge to complete a six-month rehabilitation program. This program includes regular testing and aftercare. She is also required to undertake a 26-week parenting program as part of an updated custody agreement with Newman.
Supervised Visitation Stipulated
Court documents indicate that Newman—married to King for 13 years before their separation in 2020—has been granted sole primary custody of their children while King fulfills these requirements. During this period, Jaime King will have supervised visitation with her sons limited to three times per week.
