Mysterious Glowing Spiral Lights Up UK Sky
A peculiar, luminous spiral formation was witnessed across the United Kingdom last night, captivating observers nationwide.
The swirling anomaly remained visible for several minutes over parts of England and Wales, prompting speculation among onlookers about potential extraterrestrial origins or a celestial ‘portal.’
However, despite the excitement from those intrigued by the possibility of alien contact, the event is likely attributable to a more terrestrial explanation.
SpaceX Rocket Launch Fuel Suspected Source
The anticipated cause of this fascinating phenomenon is attributed to residual rocket propellant expelled during a recent SpaceX mission spearheaded by Elon Musk.
The cloud-like configuration is believed to originate from surplus fuel discharged by a SpaceX rocket launched in the United States.
A Falcon 9 rocket, belonging to Musk’s aerospace company, was launched from Florida at 5:50 PM UK time, undertaking a classified mission, NROL-69, for the US government.
Following the successful completion of its mission for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), the Falcon 9 initiated its return trajectory towards Earth.
It is during this phase that the Falcon 9 is expected to have jettisoned any remaining fuel.
Due to the high altitude and the rocket’s trajectory, this vented fuel rapidly freezes, forming a spiral pattern.
The resulting frozen spiral becomes visible from Earth as a glowing orb when illuminated by sunlight.
Public Reaction to the Celestial Display
Despite the scientific explanation, residents across Britain were astounded by the mesmerizing spiral in the night sky.
Numerous individuals turned to social media platforms, questioning whether the spectacle they witnessed was of a paranormal nature.
Damian Peach, a space enthusiast, recounted on Facebook: ‘While photographing Jupiter and Mars this evening, I inadvertently observed a massive, spectral swirl slowly traversing the northern sky.’
Peach added, ‘Initially, I wondered if it was an extraterrestrial entity attempting to manifest a portal into our reality – however, it transpired to be vented fuel from a Space X rocket.’
Another observer commented on social media that it ‘resembled a portal materializing,’ while another speculated they had encountered an ‘alien spacecraft.’
Similar Phenomenon Previously Observed
This instance is not the inaugural sighting of this ‘alien portal’ phenomenon.
In 2023, a comparable spiral formation was detected over regions of the United States, shortly after a SpaceX rocket launch from California.
