LSU Gymnastics Team Celebrates SEC Championship Victory; Livvy Dunne Joins Festivities Amid Injury
Livvy Dunne celebrated the Southeastern Conference (SEC) gymnastics championship triumph with her LSU teammates, even though the social media personality did not make her expected return to competition.
Dunne Sidelined with Injury
Dunne was unable to participate in senior night due to an avulsion fracture in her patella. This injury also kept her out of the Tigers’ regular-season finale against Auburn.
Earlier in the week, Dunne was filmed jogging on an anti-gravity treadmill, without a brace on her right leg. In the video, she noticed she was being recorded, smiled, and gave a finger-gun salute to the camera.

‘We’re so back baby,’ Dunne wrote as a caption to the Instagram story.
The 22-year-old Dunne also posted a selfie from a sauna, posing for the camera.
Championship Meet Absence
Despite her recovery progress, and with the Tigers possessing a strong roster, Dunne did not compete in any of the four events during LSU’s most crucial meet of the season.

Team Celebrations in Birmingham
Even without competing, Dunne actively participated in the championship celebrations as confetti in purple, yellow, and white descended in Birmingham, Alabama.
LSU defeated Florida, Oklahoma, and Missouri to secure its second consecutive conference title in what is recognized as the nation’s most competitive gymnastics league.
Teammate Aleah Finnegan playfully threw confetti into Dunne’s face, a gesture referencing social media star’s boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes.
Looking Ahead to Nationals
The Tigers potentially have two more meets remaining this season: regional championships and the national championship.
Given LSU’s performance scores, it is highly anticipated that they will advance to nationals, possibly providing Dunne with further opportunities to compete in college gymnastics.
