Boxer Jake Paul Announces Engagement to Speed Skater Jutta Leerdam
Internet personality and professional boxer Jake Paul is stepping into a new chapter of his life. The 28-year-old, known for his victory over Mike Tyson in an exhibition boxing match last year, recently proposed to his Dutch partner, Olympic speed skater Jutta Leerdam.
Paul shared the news on Instagram on March 22, posting images of the proposal. “We’re engaged,” he wrote, alongside photographs capturing the moment he proposed to Leerdam on a balcony overlooking a scenic lake. “We eagerly anticipate our future together.”
Romantic Lakeside Proposal
The couple, who both wore white attire, shared photos from the intimate proposal setting. Paul reportedly proposed amidst a decorative arrangement of white candles and roses. In the photos, he can be seen kneeling and presenting the 26-year-old athlete with a prominent oval-cut diamond engagement ring.
Leerdam’s Joyful Reaction
Leerdam, who secured a silver medal at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, also shared the engagement photos on her own Instagram account. She reposted a message on her Instagram Stories which read, “Find someone that makes you jump for joy,” adding her playful comment, “on heels hahahaha.”
Two-Year Relationship
Paul and Leerdam have been in a relationship for approximately two years. Their connection began after Paul reportedly contacted Leerdam via direct message, inviting her to appear on his podcast.
