Dolly Parton says 'I haven't stopped crying' as she makes heartbreaking statement

Dolly Parton Overwhelmed by Grand Ole Opry Tribute to Late Husband Carl Dean

Country music legend Dolly Parton revealed she has been deeply emotional following a touching tribute to her late husband, Carl Dean, at the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th-anniversary celebration. The esteemed music venue honored Dean during its centennial concert on Wednesday evening, a three-hour special commemorating its century-long legacy.

Emotional Tribute Performance

The commemorative event concluded with a moving homage to both Carl Dean and Dolly Parton, 79, who was unable to attend in person. Approximately 50 members of the Opry ensemble, including renowned artists Reba McIntyre and Carrie Underwood, united to form a choir. They delivered a poignant rendition of Parton’s iconic song, “I Will Always Love You,” as a tribute.

Parton’s Heartfelt Reaction

Parton shared her profound gratitude and emotional response on Instagram, expressing the depth of her feelings. “I have not stopped crying over the beautiful tribute of ‘I Will Always Love You’ on the 100th Anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry show,” she wrote.

“The sight of all those wonderful individuals with their magnificent voices performing my song as a tribute to my husband Carl evoked emotions beyond words. I have shed enough tears to alleviate considerable pain, and I extend my thanks to all of you wonderful people who facilitated that release. I also will always love you,” she added.

A Lifelong Dream

Prior to the on-stage tribute, a video message from Dolly Parton was presented to the audience. “Well hello, I am Dolly Parton, and I am a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry,” she stated in the video.
