According to his obituary, Schwieterman died at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri. His brother, Chad Schwieterman, announced the news in a Facebook post on March 1, revealing that the former actor had recently been diagnosed with an aggressive stage 4 cancer. The specific type of cancer was not disclosed.

Schwieterman portrayed Kurt Bozwell, the antagonist and owner of Mondo Burger, the rival restaurant in the original “Good Burger” film.
