Remedy Entertainment Unveils “Altered Augments” in Upcoming Co-op Shooter FBC: Firebreak
Greetings, Remedy fans! Julius Fondem, Community Manager at Remedy Entertainment, here to share exciting news about our anticipated title, FBC: Firebreak β Altered Augments, a brand-new feature we’re thrilled to introduce.
Dive into the Control Universe with FBC: Firebreak
For those unfamiliar, FBC: Firebreak is a cooperative first-person shooter designed for three players. Set within the enigmatic Federal Bureau of Control, a clandestine agency under siege by interdimensional entities, the game expands upon the captivating world of Control. Team up with up to two allies to confront waves of otherworldly creatures, personalize your equipment, and enhance your abilities as you combat an escalating paranormal threat.
Multiplayer Focus and Accessible Gameplay
As Remedy’s first foray into multiplayer experiences, we are eager to deliver FBC: Firebreak to our community. We’ve prioritized ease of access, making it simple to jump in and play. This title is intended for enjoyable cooperative sessions with friends, filled with unpredictable and entertaining moments. We are steering clear of daily grind mechanics and “fear of missing out” (FOMO) pressures. Our aim is to provide a game that’s perfect for weekend gatherings and casual fun with your friends.
Become a Firebreaker: Wield Paranormal Weaponry
In FBC: Firebreak, players embody Firebreakers, elite combat engineers tasked with venturing into the depths of the Oldest House to resolve paranatural crises. To accomplish these missions, the Federal Bureau of Control equips Firebreakers with a range of tools, both conventional and extraordinary. These resources are organized into three specialized Crisis Kits, each featuring a unique primary Tool, an improvised secondary device, and a powerful Altered Augment.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

Unleashing the Power of Altered Augments
Altered Augments are Altered Items that have been secured and modified by the Federal Bureau of Control for authorized deployment by the Firebreak Initiative. Faced with imminent danger, the FBC has made the bold decision to weaponize paranatural artifacts, items they only partially understand, and entrust them to their frontline responders. What could possibly go wrong?
Introducing the Altered Augments: Game-Changing Abilities
Each Altered Augment boasts distinct capabilities, representing the pinnacle of each Crisis Kit’s arsenal. Let’s take a closer look at these Altered Augments:
The Garden Gnome (AI9)
While appearing to be an ordinary garden gnome, the Garden Gnome (AI9) possesses extraordinary properties. When attached to the Electro-Kinetic Charge Impactor, it can be launched at enemies. Upon impact, it unleashes a lightning storm in its vicinity, inflicting damage and stunning all enemies within the area, while also draining energy from nearby batteries. Exercise caution, however, as the Garden Gnome is mobile and indiscriminate, affecting both allies and adversaries alike. Unless, of course, a little friendly fire is part of your plan.
The Piggy Bank (AI16)
The Piggy Bank (AI16) augments the Wrench, attaching to its end to unleash devastating attacks. Swinging the Wrench creates a wide arc of damage and causes the Piggy Bank to shatter, releasing a vortex of paranatural coins that damages all enemies caught within. Fear not, the Piggy Bank magically reforms itself after the coin tornado returns. Just be mindful of friendly fire; coin barrages to the face are frowned upon in some cultures.
The Teapot (AI44)
The Teapot (AI44) enhances the Crank-Operated Fluidic Ejector (COFE), enabling it to project scalding water at foes. When the Teapot is equipped, the COFE inflicts burning damage and eliminates the risk of overheating. However, be aware that this modification also causes the COFE to damage teammates and restricts its ability to clear conditions, except for the cold condition. Finally, and perhaps disappointingly for some, the Teapot does not come pre-filled with tea.
