Kai Trump’s Challenging Start at Junior Invitational Golf Tournament
Dismal First Round for Trump Granddaughter
Kai Trump encountered a difficult opening round at the prestigious Junior Invitational golf tournament on Wednesday, recording a score of +17. This placed her at the bottom of the leaderboard, significantly behind her competitors.
The young golf talent, granddaughter of former president Donald Trump, is a prominent participant at Sage Valley in South Carolina. However, her debut in the tournament did not unfold as anticipated.
Accompanied by Secret Service agents, Trump began promisingly, achieving par through the initial five holes before encountering significant setbacks.

Slide to Bottom of Leaderboard
Subsequently, Kai unexpectedly accumulated 17 strokes over just 13 holes, causing her to plummet to the lowest position on the leaderboard.
With three days remaining in Graniteville, she trails her nearest competitor by six strokes, positioning her 24th out of 24 female participants.
The current frontrunners, Pimpisa Rubrong of Thailand and Aphrodite Deng of Canada, are remarkably 19 strokes ahead, both scoring -2.
Kai Trump chips onto the 18th green at the conclusion of her challenging first round in South Carolina.
Spectators and Secret Service personnel followed her during the first day of the event.
Looking Ahead After Tough Beginning
Trump is scheduled to compete again on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, aiming to elevate her position on the leaderboard. This event marks a disappointing commencement to her high-profile junior golf career for the 17-year-old.
Last year, she committed to the University of Miami to further her golf education, with aspirations of becoming a professional golfer.
Charlie Woods Also Faces Setbacks
In the men’s division of the tournament, Charlie Woods, son of golf legend Tiger Woods, also experienced a challenging day.
He too faced difficulties and is currently ranked 32nd out of 36 participants as he enters the second day of competition.
Trump stands at +17 after the initial round, needing to gain six strokes to move from the bottom position.
Golf icon Tiger Woods, 49, is reportedly dating Vanessa Trump, 47, former wife of Donald Trump Jr.
Woods posted a six-over-par 78 in his first round, a considerable 11 strokes behind the leader, Joshua Bai of New Zealand.
Family Connections in the Spotlight
These underwhelming performances from two prominent names in the tournament occur shortly after reports emerged about a relationship between Kai’s mother, Vanessa Trump, and Charlie’s father, Tiger Woods.
Tiger, 49, and Vanessa, 47, have reportedly been in a relationship since Thanksgiving and are rapidly becoming a notable couple in the golf world.
Neither of their parents were present at the event on Wednesday, with Tiger and Vanessa, along with Don Jr. and Elin Nordegren, absent from the course.
