Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Address “Manterrupting” Criticism
Hilaria and Alec Baldwin have responded to commentary following a recent red carpet appearance. The couple faced scrutiny after an interview where Hilaria appeared to chide Alec for speaking over her.
Instagram Video Response
In a video posted to Instagram on March 19, the Baldwins addressed the online discussion. The pair filmed themselves in bed, lip-syncing to audio from the interview that sparked the debate. After the audio clip concluded, Hilaria posed a question to Alec, referencing a playful term.
“And that is called, what’s the word of the day?” she asked.
The actor, known for his role in 30 Rock, replied, “Manterrupting.”
Humorous Take on Interruptions
Hilaria then joked about the term, suggesting it could be interpreted in “positive” or “negative” ways, or even as a case of “correctile dysfunction.” She elaborated on the broader point, stating, “The whole point is that we interrupt each other all the time or sometimes our kids interrupt.”

Children’s Interruption During Video
Highlighting their point about interruptions, the couple’s video was briefly interrupted by one of their seven children. Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, María Lucía, 4, and Ilaria, 2, could be heard knocking on their bedroom door, calling for “mommy.”
“I think that’s one of our children trying to get in,” Hilaria remarked lightheartedly, acknowledging the real-life example of family interruptions.
