Demi Moore Celebrates Bruce Willis’ 70th Birthday in Heartwarming Family Reunion
Demi Moore has shared a touching birthday tribute to Bruce Willis as he turned 70. The actress, 62, commemorated Willis’ milestone birthday on Wednesday, March 19th, alongside their daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. Moore subsequently posted a collection of cherished family photographs on Instagram.
Affectionate Family Photos Highlight Birthday Celebration
“Happy birthday, BW! We love you,” Moore wrote in the caption, accompanying images of the former couple embracing, Willis cradling Rumer’s daughter Lou, and intimate moments between the actor and his daughters Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31. Lou will be celebrating her second birthday next month.
Moore’s post ignited a flurry of positive responses in the comments section.
One follower commented, “May I just express how genuinely commendable the connection you’ve cultivated after your marriage concluded is? It speaks volumes about the kind and grounded individuals you are, demonstrating that family remains paramount, regardless of circumstances.” Another remarked, “These pictures evoke both joy and sadness simultaneously. We love you BW!”
Decades of Friendship Beyond Marriage
Moore and Willis were married from 1987 to 2000 and have maintained a close friendship since their separation. Willis was even present at Moore’s wedding to Ashton Kutcher in 2005. (They later divorced in 2013.) The Die Hard star later married Emma Heming in 2009. They have two daughters together, Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10.

Willis’ Battle with Dementia and Enduring Family Support
In March 2022, Willis received a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, a communication disorder, which has significantly impacted his cognitive abilities. Consequently, he retired from acting.
“We will consistently remain a family, albeit in a different form,” Moore told Variety earlier this year. “For me, it was never a question. I am present because that is what one does for loved ones.”
Moore’s Commitment to Family and Co-Parenting
Moore reportedly visits Willis weekly to offer support to him and their extended family.
“I hope it serves as encouragement for others to witness that there is an alternative approach to navigating life. There is life beyond divorce. There is a way to co-parent with affection,” she stated at the time.
In February, Rumer, 36, expressed her appreciation for her parents’ approach to shared parenting. (Rumer shares her daughter Lou with her former partner, Derek Richard Thomas.)
“I believe the most significant aspect I am thankful for is that even after their separation, they established such a solid structure of prioritizing my sisters and myself. I never felt compelled to choose sides, or that they were adversarial towards each other,” she explained. “We were and continue to be very much a family, regardless of changes. I feel this foundation has not only equipped me to have a beautiful family life but, as I navigate co-parenting myself, I feel profound gratitude for the example they have set.”
