Stanley Tucci Discusses Lingering Effects of Cancer Treatment
Actor Stanley Tucci is in remission following his cancer battle, but continues to experience lingering physical effects.
In 2021, the Conclave actor revealed his treatment, including chemotherapy and radiation, after a 2017 diagnosis of a tumor at the base of his tongue. Years later, he is still managing the aftereffects.
Ongoing Fatigue
The 64-year-old recently described his fatigue while filming the latest season of his show, Searching for Italy.
“I would be so tired in the afternoon, like completely exhausted by one o’clock,” Tucci stated in a March 18 episode of David Tennant Does a Podcast With… “I was like, ‘Something’s wrong with me.’ Finally, when it was all over just before the last one, I had a blood test and I was like, ‘I know something’s f–king wrong with me.’ And my thyroid was non-functioning.”
