Israel's Katz says evacuations to begin soon from Gaza combat zones

Israeli Defense Minister Announces Impending Resumption of Gaza Evacuations

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated on Wednesday that the evacuation of civilians from conflict areas in the Gaza Strip is set to resume shortly. He also implored the populace to “remove Hamas.”

Katz Warns of Intensified Military Action

In a video address, Minister Katz indicated that aerial bombardments targeting Hamas positions were merely the initial phase of operations. He cautioned that subsequent actions would be significantly more severe, though he did not elaborate on specifics.

Katz conveyed to inhabitants of the affected coastal region that they would “bear the full consequences.”

Demand for Hostage Release and Hamas Removal

“Return the hostages and remove Hamas,” the Defense Minister demanded. He further suggested that fulfilling these demands would open new prospects for Gazans, including potential relocation to other nations.

“The alternative is complete destruction,” he asserted, pledging that Israel would employ a level of force unprecedented in the Gaza Strip.

The military has confirmed the renewed deployment of ground troops.
