The second to last episode of Severance, titled The After Hours, ended on a nail-biting cliffhanger. The scene saw Jame Eagan (portrayed by Michael Siberry) wandering down to the Severed floor where his daughter’s Innie, Helly R (played by Britt Lower), was attempting to find her way to the black elevator and down to the testing floor, reports the Mirror US.
Jame confronted Helly with the words: “You tricked me”, echoing what Mark (Adam Scott) had previously said to her about Helena.
The sudden appearance of the elderly Eagan left Helly visibly shaken before the episode abruptly ended.
However, fans are already speculating about the next scene following this bizarre encounter.
One Reddit user theorised: “She is straight up going to kill him.

“It makes sense. It ticks all the boxes. It fits with Helly R’s character. She has already shown that she is ok with being violent, when she threw that speaker at Mark’s head in episode one. The episode is rated MA15+ for VIOLENCE.
“It all fits too perfectly. Jame Eagen is used to unquestioning loyalty. He’s not ready for what Helly R is capable of [sic].”
Another fan added: “Oooo yes I love the idea of her weapon being the mark head cube! ! I’m totally with you tho she’s got nothing to lose and is going to do something drastic [sic].”
A third Reddit user suggested: “It’d be an amazing parallel to Ms Haung using Kier’s head to break her Kier toy – Helly using Mark’s head to kill Jame.”
One Severance fan noted: “Oh that’s a really cool parallel. And having to cause that damage to grow (GROW! ) and move forward. I mostly thought of the parallel to Gemma whacking her captor with the chair, and Jame is Helly’s captor in a sense [sic].”
However, another viewer suggested a different character to take down the Lumon CEO: “The better parallel would be Cobel smashing Jame’s head. Remember she had a bust too.”
Recently, Severance viewers discovered how the Eagans stole Ms Cobel’s (Patricia Arquette) chip technology ideas, claiming them as their own.
If Ms Cobel were to kill Jame, it would serve as poetic justice for her mistreatment by the Eagans and the sacrifices she’s made.
Regardless, the season two finale of Severance is set to be a bloodbath, earning an R rating for its graphic violence.
The episode, titled Cold Harbor, will be the most violent yet for Severance.
Cold Harbor will also be the longest episode so far, clocking in at 76 minutes.
Fans are eager to learn the fate of Gemma Scout (Dichen Lachman) and whether she can escape the testing floor with Mark and possibly Helly’s help.
Additionally, questions remain about whether Mark will fully reintegrate with Ms Cobel’s assistance or if she might betray them at the last minute.
