Loose Women’s Charlene White expressed her regret at missing co-star Coleen Nolan’s landmark birthday celebration on the show. Coleen was left in tears during an emotional surprise segment on the popular ITV daytime programme, which honoured her 60th birthday with a string of touching tributes.
Her Loose Women colleagues secretly arranged for her closest friends and family members, including her three children, to shock her by turning up in the studio. Alas, not everyone could attend the festivity, and panellist Charlene White took the chance to apologise for her absence during Tuesday’s (March 18) episode, reports the Mirror.
Faced with Coleen, Charlene mentioned: “I didn’t get to see you last week.” Puzzled, Coleen responded: “No you didn’t, where were you?”
Charlene explained: “On your 60th. I had to do the other job so I couldn’t come to your surprise celebration but you had even more celebrations throughout the week didn’t you?”
Coleen joyfully recounted the beloved moments from the day, disclosing: “Well the Monday on Loose was just incredible and I cried all day and it went on all night. It was surprise after surprise, my kids in the audience and they’ve never all been here together.”

Coleen further shared her heartfelt family memories as footage of her siblings surprising her played, revealing: “My brother also came out. My older brother that I am kissing there, he never leaves Blackpool.”
Everyone roared with laughter when she revealed: “My sister came on and I thought she wouldn’t come because she was in Dublin touring so she’s not going to fly over and when I thought I can’t cry anymore out popped Brenda singing.”
Coleen quipped: “I think they were trying to kill me off and I was thinking this might be my last show and they didn’t tell me.” Coleen Nolan couldn’t hold back her tears during the broadcast, confessing that the family surprise left her ‘too emotional’.
Upon entering the studio, Coleen was unsuspectingly blindfolded only to be greeted by her children Jake Roche, Shane Nolan, and Ciara Fensome moments later.
The heartwarming gestures continued as she also received a tender message from former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Pete Wicks, with whom she became chummy whilst participating in the Real Full Monty.
Throughout the episode, more of Coleen’s seldom-seen family members, including brothers Brian and Tommy appeared in the Loose Women studio, and at the sight of her sister Maureen Nolan joining in, Coleen was once again visibly moved to tears.
