Re-reviewing Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro one year later and ahead of the Mate 30 launch, showing that this mighty flagship still stands strong in 2019. From the original triple-lens camera to the dependable performance and super-sharp 6.3-inch QHD+ screen, the Mate 20 Pro is one of the best Huawei handsets of all time. Even 12 months later I’ll happily use this mobile as my personal phone.
It’s hard to believe that one year ago, the now-classic combo of wide-angle and telephoto lenses was introduced on a smartphone camera. Video shonkiness put aside, the Mate is still one of the best camera phones in 2019 for photo capture. From portrait and night shots to that flexible arrangement, Huawei absolutely nailed it with this phone.
And while the Mate 20 Pro’s display has scratched up somewhat, the rest of this smartphone looks magnificent. Performance remains strong, while the battery life hasn’t been impacted by regular use and recharging.
Are you excited about the new Huawei Mate 30 Pro? I’ll be reporting from the official launch and stay tuned for my full review of this all-new handset!
