Conor Maynard has set the record straight and confirmed he is not the father of Charlotte Chilton’s child, Penelope. The singer was entangled in rumours suggesting he fathered a baby girl with the Traitors star, but a recent paternity test has cleared the air. He shared on Instagram Stories that he underwent the test alongside Charlotte’s legal representative, stating: “Earlier this week, I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chilton’s baby girl, Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative.”
Conor confirmed: βToday I’ve received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope’s father. I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end.” The 32-year-old expressed his relief and requested respect for the parties involved: βAll I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news – there is a child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten. I wish Charlotte and her family all the best. Conor.”
Last June, Charlotte, hailing from Warwickshire and working in recruitment management, wrongly attributed her unborn baby’s paternity to Conor.
She appeared on BBC’s popular show The Traitors, where winner Harry Clarke is romantically linked with Conor’s sister, Anna Maynard, reports the Mirror.
The Can’t Say No star briefly romanced Charlotte after crossing paths during The Traitors’ finale party and then in October 2024, the reality TV star announced the arrival of her baby girl.

She added: “Thank you to all that have checked in to make sure I am ok! My heart is full xx.”
The following month, Charlotte opened up to OK! about her childbirth experience and discussed how her relationship with her family has evolved since the birth of her daughter.
She stated: “We went through a real ‘hate’ phase when I first got pregnant but we’re friends again now and she’s been great, and my mum, well, she’s basically taken on the role of the father.
“She’ll get the bottles sterilised for me, she’ll take the baby when I need it, she’ll make sure I eat dinner, because it’s so easy to get through the day without eating anything. It’s the best diet in the world, looking after a newborn. The weight has come off me.”
