David Beckham, the 49-year-old England football legend, reportedly issued a two-word warning to his son Brooklyn before he took part in the Formula E Evo Sessions. The former Manchester United star simply told his son to “be careful” as he prepared to jump into Jaguar’s high-performance single-seater in Miami. Brooklyn, 26, was among several influencers and public figures who got behind the wheel of a Formula E car as the series sought to raise its public profile during the massive two-month gap between races. Competing against him were personalities such as YouTuber Mr Beast, Manchester City icon Sergio Aguero, and Harry Potter actor Tom Felton.
Speaking about the role motor-racing has played in his relationship with his father, Brooklyn told Closer UK that it had been something they had “bonded over the years”. Despite David’s obvious concerns, he expressed excitement about his son getting into a racing car. Whether Brooklyn could transition from being a lifestyle-oriented figure to a serious racing driver remains to be seen, but according to The Race, his pace improved promisingly over the three-day event. Furthermore, Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham suggested he could successfully make a career change. He revealed to media outlets before the race weekend: “She was a little bit worried”, reports The Mirror.
Brooklyn has revealed his wife’s reaction to his racing gear, saying: “Then she saw me in my race outfit, and she was like, ‘You should do this as a job. You look really good’.
“She was a little bit worried, but after I got out of the car, she was like, ‘You look really sexy.’ So, I might be changing careers.”
His passion for motorsport goes beyond just driving fast cars; it’s been with him all his life. As reported by Hello!, Brooklyn expressed his enthusiasm: “I’ve loved motorsport all my life, so when the opportunity came to be a part of Evo Sessions with Formula E, I jumped at the chance.”

Speaking to the Mirror about his daily routine, he shared: “I wake up at 6am because my four dogs wake me up. I feed them, I go to the gym, I do an ice bath.
“Sometimes, if I’m into a show – I’ll watch my show on a weekend if I’m not working – and then just hang out with my wife and my dogs really. Sit by the fire and watch a movie or TV show.”
