Stacey Solomon fights tears as she says 'so much work' in home confession

Stacey Solomon is determined to start growing strawberries, after having vegetable beds installed in the grounds of her Essex home, Pickle Cottage. The 34-year-old is so invested in her plan that she’s declared she will “legitimately cry” if she can’t make it a success.

Taking to Instagram, the mum-of-five told almost six million followers that her strawberries are “pending”. “I really hope these work, because honestly I’m so darned excited about it and it’s so much work and effort and I’ll legitimately cry if they don’t!” she declared passionately.

To the tune of Nelly and Kelly Rowland’s ‘Dilemma’, she shared footage of a tractor delivering vital supplies to help the project along the way. “I made two mini veg beds… so this is a delivery from farmer Scott to fill them up,” she explained.

“I just need to take a moment for my neighbour Farmer Scott and @hope.rendell.interiors for being the absolute best people in the world. Farmer Scott always lending me a manned JCB whenever I need one,” she exclaimed, punctuating her point with a tears of laughter emoji.

She also gave a special shout-out to two others, Steve and Richard, who “are booked for snagging or maintenance but NEVER say no to lending a hand with random s**t that I rope them into”. Stacey confided earlier that day that she was feeling the need to “trust the process” after beginning “a million things” but knowing she “won’t finish any of them”.

Despite the mountainous workload, Stacey is confident and capable when it comes to tough tasks around the home.

She has an award-winning show, Sort Your Life Out, where she helps hoarders ruthlessly reallocate their clutter and transform their homes and lives in the process.

Meanwhile, Stacey will also appear on TV tonight for an eagerly-awaited episode of her Renovation Rescue show, where she’ll encourage those who’ve been left high and dry by builders to take on tasks themselves.

Despite being seen in tiaras and Disney Princess-style bouffant gowns on various occasions over the years, in reality, Stacey always seems ready to muck in, an attitude which has earned her the title “DIY Queen”.
