TikTok chef Jean Choi shared a viral recipe for caramelised persimmon. It’s a quick and healthy alternative to the traditional apple crumble, which contains around 400 calories per serving when made from scratch.
Cut two persimmons in half, add brown sugar and spices, and cook in the air fryer for 20 minutes for a “melt in your mouth” dessert, Choi explains.
Cooking a persimmon brings out their intense sweetness. Serve with low fat ice cream, yoghurt or creme fraiche as a delicious end to a meal with fewer calories.
