TOWIE's Amy Childs devastated as baby son Billy rushed to hospital again on Christmas Day

Amy Childs has opened up on her “stressful and tough” Christmas, as she and her and fiancé Billy Delbosq had to rush their baby son Billy to hospital again. Taking to Instagram to share the news, the former TOWIE star told fans: “Wow what a Christmas we had this year to say it was stressful and tough would be an understatement we ended up in A&E with baby Billy Christmas Day.

“He couldn’t stop coughing, high temperture, wasn’t taking his milk, we was all so worried and just wanted him better, so many messages why I haven’t been on my Instagram.

“And thank you for all your messages! it’s been a stressful Christmas this year BUT Roll on 2024. How was your Christmas everyone!?” The mum-of-two, 33, concluded.

Fortunately, Amy has since returned to the social media platform to update fans on Billy’s condition. Sharing a photo of the tot, Amy wrote: “Baby Billy is finally on the mend! Thank you for all your lovely messages.”

Billy’s Christmas Day hospital dash comes just days after the little one was “struggling to breathe” and ended up in hospital again with his concerned parents. Earlier this month, Amy, who rose to fame on ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex, shared a photo of Billy being checked out of hospital with her fiancé.

She wrote at the time: “Thank you for all your messages about baby Billy, sadly we ended up in A&E last night waiting eight hours to be seen. Bill’s coughing got worse and was struggling to breathe.”

She continued: “As a mum I was so worried as when he was a few minutes old when he was born he got taken away and put in the NICU unit for days as he was struggling to breathe.

“Last night we got told after eight hours by the doctors that he has tonsilitis. He is OK this morning just still worrying about his breathing and coughing.

“Just lots of cuddles with mummy and daddy this morning. My darling Billy.”

Amy’s fiancé also spoke out on the ordeal on his own Instagram Stories, explaining: “Poor little man… As a dad you feel so helpless when they’re ill but fingers crossed he’ll be on the mend.”

Amy and her partner Billy, 38, welcomed twins Billy River and Amelia Mae, nine months, in April this year.

However, the couple experienced a “traumatic birth” after son Billy “nearly died”.

Amy reflected on the terrifying moment in the first episode of her ITVBe series The Twin Life.

She said: “It was awful, it was just tragic. And I just looked at Bill thinking, ‘What is going on? Is the baby alright?’

“Then the midwife was running me to theatre with her hand still inside me so that the cord doesn’t come out, cause the minute that comes out, the baby would’ve died.”
