English actress Anna Madeley is best recognised on the Channel 5 hit series All Creatures Great and Small, playing the role of the housekeeper Audrey Hall. However, she’s also appeared in a number of other television programmes during her career.
Madeley was born in London and kick-started her acting career at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She landed her first serious role as Nurse Samantha Beaumont in ITV’s The Royal from 2003 until 2005.

Away from her successful acting, film fans will recognise Anna’s partner Geoffrey Streatfeild. The English actor is best known for joining the cast during the last series of Spooks in 2011.
Geoffrey has also appeared in productions such as The Thick Of It, Ashes to Ashes, The Hollow Crown, Elizabeth I and The Other Boleyn Girl. He was previously married to Nikki Amuka-Bird from 2003 until 2010.

Channel 5 viewers looked forward to the one-hour Christmas special of All Creatures Great and Small titled, Entitled on A Wing and Prayer.
Executive producer Melissa Gallant spoke to Radio Times to tease viewers about what to expect in the festive episode. “Female friendships have been key,” she shared. “We’re showing that whatever life brings, if we’ve got people around us who care – whether related or not – we’ll be all right. That feels so hopeful.”
The third series of the drama aired in 2023 and garnered 3.8 million viewers on average per episode. The Christmas episode was filmed in July during hot conditions in the Yorkshire Dales.
The synopsis will be surrounding whether or not James Herriot (played by Nicholas Ralph) will make it home for Christmas to see Helen (Rachel Shenton) as he serves at an RAF base.
On top of this, Siegfried and Carmody argue over who will play Father Christmas this year and Mrs Hall puts on a special Christmas community celebration. All episodes can be streamed on catch-up on My5.
All Creatures Great and Small’s Christmas special airs on Thursday, December 21 at 9pm.
