Presenter Alex Scott looked the picture of serenity as she strolled down the beach for a very unconventional Christmas in shots posted to her Instagram Stories yesterday. The 39-year-old BBC Sport star seemed to be on top of the world as she showcased her phenomenal body in a black bikini, flashing a broad grin to the camera.
The mystery location of her sun-soaked getaway – worlds apart from the cold and windswept weather here in the UK – has not been disclosed so far. However, she is believed to be spending the break with songstress Jess Glynne, who posted her own snap taken on a strikingly similar-looking beach.
Alex also shared footage of a flame-haired woman resembling the singer yesterday as she continued to show her 1.8 million Instagram followers that she was having the time of her life. Jess and Alex have never publicly addressed their relationship, but rumours of their romance first surfaced in October, and weeks later the pair were spotted sharing a passionate embrace and kiss on the lips as they walked through the streets of London together.
Alex had previously spoken of another same-sex relationship she had, with former Arsenal player Kelly Smith, in last year’s memoir How (Not) To Be Strong. Meanwhile, Jess is also no stranger to dating women, having told The Daily Star back in 2015 that although she is “never going to put a label on [her] sexuality”, she has had a relationship with another females in the past.
Before jetting off, Alex and Jess had posed together earlier this week at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards, appearing in a selfie in a lift with a group of pals. The pair also made a sensational red carpet debut together in November at British Vogue’s Forces For Change party.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, Alex reflected on 2023 as she prepared for another successful year to draw to a close.
Praising athlete Mary Earps, she wrote: “The 70th BBC sports personality of the year. Last show of 2023 and ending it on a high. Huge congratulations @1maryearps [for] keeping breaking those glass ceilings.
“Congratulations to everyone who was honoured on the evening and to all nominees. Sport has always had the power to inspire in so many ways and I look forward to another incredible year in which sport continues to do so!”
It’s been an action-packed month for the star, who also wowed earlier in the month in a chocolate-coloured satin strapless gown for an event held by the British Fashion Council.
Meanwhile, Jess belted out her best vocals to an undisclosed companion she was spending a “very special Christmas” with this year.
She uploaded footage of herself singing in a room featuring an iconic Helmut Newton photograph on the wall of Elsa Peretti in a Playboy bunny costume.
Earlier in the week, she also shared the “mistletoe Martini” she was creating in a video where she playfully urged fans to “have a tipple this Christmas”.
If the sunshine snaps the pair have posted of themselves this weekend are anything to go by, they’ll be seeing in Christmas in style as the scorching temperatures continue overseas.
