Emmerdale fans are all saying the same thing after cliffhanger ending for Dingles

Emmerdale fans were left with more questions than answers as they tried to work out who they thought could have killed Reed (played by Ben Addis), with one Dingle being at the centre of their suspicions.

During the latest instalment of the ITV soap, rapist Craig was left dead in a field outside the village lying on his back.

Short clips were played of different members of the Dingle family dealing with problems of their own as the search for Craig’s killer begins.

In one clip, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is breathing heavily and panicking as she looks at blood on her hands.

In another, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is seen lying on her floor holding an empty wine glass as a voiceover says: “If you show your face in here again, you will be eating through a straw.”

Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) is seen in another cryptic voiceover scene by a car which appears to be on fire while he’s asking a mystery character: “Have you got a death wish or what?”

In Mandy Dingle’s (Lisa Riley) clip, she is sitting at work sobbing as an angry man’s voice shouts: “Get out before we throw you out!”

As the scene shoots over to Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) a female voice, which sounds like Mandy’s, says: “How much does a hitman cost? Not too much for you, moneybags.”

Caleb replies: “Well, I reckon a short, sharp shock will do the trick.”

The episode ends with Lydia’s husband Sam Dingle (James Hooton) nursing his cut knuckles somewhere outside as Craig’s voice can be heard saying: “She wanted me more than I wanted her… She felt guilty so she cried rape.”

A voice, which sounds like Sam’s, then yells in utter rage: “I’m going to end it…”

The episode sent ITV fans into meltdown, with many taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment on the ambiguous ending.

@XLUCYkateee exclaimed: “It is 100% Samson!! #Emmerdale.”

@Tubzy2001 theorised: “#Emmerdale literally is the best soap. I reckon Samson killed Craig.”

@Carrick_Girl added: “My moneys on Samson, the only one it didn’t show in the suspect list #emmerdale #whodunit.”

@Jamal06122771 commented: “Who killed Craig? Probably none of them that was in the Pub. Am thinking it’s Samson. Then again it could Ruth.”

@gillyqueenbee quipped: “My number 1 suspect is Samson #emmerdale #WhoDunnit.” (sic)

Producer Laura Shaw teased: “The week will truly keep everyone on the edge of their seats with each day more and more explosive secrets revealed that promise to have huge repercussions, shatter lives and cause fireworks in the Dingles bigger than ever seen before.”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
