Big Brother fans fume as they issue the same complaint minutes into launch show

Big Brother fans issued the same complaint just minutes into the first launch show which was pre-recorded on Saturday night.

As hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best welcomed viewers and the audience to the new house, many aired their frustrations over the format shake-up of the ITV reality programme.

“Hello and welcome to Big Brother, the launch,” AJ began.

Will continued: “Yes, that’s right, the OG is back, and if you have never seen it before, get ready for the greatest reality show on earth.”

“She’s AJ Odudu,” he said pointing to his co-star as AJ added: “And he’s Will Best and tonight sees the return of the most famous house in the UK.”

“It’s the Big Brother house,” Will shouted. “And like all famous faces, it has had a 2023 glow-up ready for a brand new series.”

“Yes, the takeover starts now,” AJ stated. “We are going to bring you all the action and drama from inside those four iconic walls.

“We’ve got a brand new house, shall we put some housemates in it?”

However, fans took to social media in droves to complain about the ITV reboot of Big Brother.

Some fans were unhappy that the show wasn’t broadcast live, while others missed Davina McCall being the show’s host.

@mariadempseyy complained: “Missing Davina and her fancy another one x.” (sic)

@danofthewires stated: “I mean they are no Davina.”

@FThoughtLess1 shared a snap of Davina and wrote: “I can’t be the only one missing this legend…and the energy they brought #BBUK.”

“Bring back Emma or Davina,” @katrina1_ pleaded while @Princess_Debz added: “Should have got Davina or Emma back to be fair…” (sic)

Picking fault with the show’s format, @Jodi_Rushworth commented: “Should have been live, it’s giving off a Gen-Z snowflake kind of vibe.” (sic)

@KadeemZak_ asked: “Why is #bbuk not live?”

However, despite the criticism, other fans were loving the reboot with @TheCommentariat tweeting: “I’m so happy @AJOdudu is hosting #bbuk it’s such a full circle moment. I remember watching her on bit on the side and thinking she was so good.”

@ItsPaulRyder added: ” I’m actually glad it’s not live. Let them settle in without the madness. Plus, we don’t give out that Love Island isn’t live.”

Big Brother returns on Monday on ITV2 at 9pm.
