Dancing On Ice pro teases host replacement after Phillip Schofield's exit

Colin Grafton has hinted he would not mind if Torvill and Dean opted to also present the show.

Sporting legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are regular judges on the panel and the duo give their verdict on the celebrity performances on the ice.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, American-born star Colin, who is a professional skater on Dancing On Ice, admitted he is not too clued up on all of the British presenters who could takeover Phillip Schofield’s spot.

“If I can be completely honest with you, I’m new to the whole UK TV scene,” he explained. “So I did not grow up watching all the British presenters but there’s a few people I think.”

“I’m not sure they have announced his replacement. There is a lot of speculation but that’s a tough one for me as I’m not familiar with all the British TV presenters.”

When addressing Torvill and Dean potentially presenting the programme Colin said he would still expect the skating legends to share their critiques about the celebrity’s abilities on the ice.

The Dancing On Ice star, 31, who was partnered with The Vivienne on the skating show earlier this year, said: “They’re the most talented duo.

“One of the most talented duos in British history. They can do almost anything. I don’t think it would be strange at all [them presenting]. I think it would be wonderful. I would still want their advice throughout the programme but they’re incredible.”

His comments come after Phillip announced his departure from This Morning back in May and just days later had stepped down from ITV altogether after he admitted that he lied about having an affair with his colleague.

Stephen Mulhern has reportedly been lined up to replace Phillip as co-presenter of Dancing On Ice.

ITV has not yet confirmed the news, saying an announcement will be made “in due course”.

The TV host, 46, previously stepped in for Phillip on Dancing On Ice in 2022, after he tested positive for Covid, and is also known for appearing in Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Meanwhile, the pro-skater has joined the Alzheimer’s Society for their Memory Walk which brings together people who have been personally affected by dementia, those who want to walk to remember a loved one, and people looking to raise money for charity.

There are 24 Memory Walks taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland on September 30.

Speaking about the event, Colin shared: “I’m so thrilled to be a part of such an incredible society and foundation because I have a personal connection.

“My grandfather passed away from the disease and so obviously it greatly impacted my family. It’s something that I witnessed firsthand and I’m very passionate about it.

“So to be given an opportunity to be a part of such an incredible organisation it’s something I’m thrilled about.”
