Manchester United have rejected a £20million bid from West Ham for Harry Maguire and held further talks over Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund. United are not forcing Maguire out as he wants to stay and fight for his place so West Ham may now consider other options after having a loan request rejected earlier in the month. (Mail Sport)
United are also keen on making a move for Sofyan Amrabat, but will need to raise money before they can make a swoop for the Moroccan international. Amrabat has picked up attention across Europe in the aftermath of his fine displays for Morocco in the 2022 World Cup – helping them become the first African nation to reach the semi-final stage. PSG are set to complete a shock deal to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona. The French champions have been interested in the 26-year-old for a long time, and, according to sources, the forward has already agreed a five-year contract at PSG. Manchester United have rejected a £20m bid from West Ham for ex-skipper Harry Maguire
Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has undergone a medical and agreed a three year contract as his £40m move to Al-Ittihad draws closer. Talks were understood to have stalled earlier this week after a paperwork issue, but the move now appears to be back on track. (Mail Sport)
Galatasaray are interested in Manchester United’s Brazil midfielder Fred but there is a gap in the valuation between the two clubs. Negotiations on a deal for the 30-year-old are still ongoing between the clubs, though there are other interested parties. (Sky Sports)
Nottingham Forest have rejected another bid for star forward Brennan Johnson from Brentford, who have again failed to reach The Tricky Trees’ £50m valuation of the Welsh international. Thomas Frank’s side offered £35m up front, followed by another £5m in add-ons. (Mail Sport)
