Aaron Judge hits his first home run since returning from injury as the Yankees beat Baltimore 8-3

Aaron Judge has hit his first home run since his hugely anticipated return for the New York Yankees from a sprained toe.

On a 1-1 count in the top of the third inning, Judge took a high fastball from Tyler Wells the distance over the center field wall – travelling 442 feet.

This home run was just one of many New York hit tonight, as the Yankees beat the Orioles 8-3.

That follows Judge’s return from injury last night – in a game that Baltimore won on a walkoff home run from Anthony Santander. It was New York’s 18th walkoff loss of the season – the most across the major leagues.

But the Yankees put that behind them and rallied together to get a win in Baltimore on Saturday.

Giancarlo Stanton opened the scoring on the night with a 427 foot solo blast in the first inning.

A Ryan Mountcastle home run and a Ramon Urias RBI single gave the Orioles a short-lived second inning lead.

That was immediately followed by Judge’s two-run blast in the third and a sacrifice fly from Gleyber Torres in the fourth.

Anthony Santander’s sac grounder scored Adley Rutschman in the bottom of the fifth, but a Kyle Higashioka solo blast and a two-RBI double from Isaiah Kiner-Falefa brought the Yankees lead to 8-3 in the sixth.
