Ron DeSantis vows to build the wall stop the invasion in dark video taking a dig at Trump and Biden

Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis released a dark video that gives a glimpse of what his border policy would be, should he win the 2024 presidental election.

A video posted to Twitter highlights the current border crisis while also taking a swipe at his rivals including former President Donald Trump and current President Joe Biden.

The visuals are accompanied by intense thriller-like music and are a strong criticism of Biden’s immigration’s policy, while also subtly referencing former Trump’s failure to fulfill his border pledges.

The 2024 presidential hopeful is upping his rhetoric against Trump in the 2024 primary after months of attacks from the former president, who has claimed DeSantis’ entry into the race is ‘disloyal.’

On Monday, DeSantis is set to unveil his full border security policy in Eagle Pass, Texas.

The video showcased a series of news anchors and reporters discussing the border crisis together with text highlighting statistics, including the detention of drug cartel members and terrorists at the border.

One speaker can be heard stating: ‘There’s a growing humanitarian crisis at the southern border.’

Another voice chimes in: ‘What has been happening under President Biden’s watch is that so many immigrants think it will be easier to enter the United States.’

The spot does not refer to Trump by name, although DeSantis has previously alluded to Trump’s previous immigration promises including the call to construct a border wall.

DeSantis told New Hampshire voters earlier this month: ‘Leadership is not about entertainment. Leadership is about producing results for the people you represent.

During his remarks, he committed to resolving the border issue and resuming construction of the border wall.

‘We will finally after years and years of discussions and Republicans complaining about it, we will finally be the administration to bring this border issue to a conclusion. We are going to shut the border down, we are going to build the border wall,’ he stated.

DeSantis, 44, who has only been on the campaign trail for less than a month, is attempting to appeal to Republican primary voter as someone who can deliver the conservative agenda.

DeSantis has hit the campaign trail hard going to all four early primary contest states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada over the last few weeks.

Last week, DeSantis’ office announced the formation of a coalition of 90 sheriffs to address the border crisis.

Record numbers of migrants have crossed the US-Mexico border as pandemic-era restrictions ended last month.

DeSantis has sent buses and planes filled with migrants to liberal-led cities in teh north as the country dies with the southern border crisis. That has caused some to accuse him of committing crimes.

A new poll shows Trump lost a 6% advantage over Ron DeSantis following his indictment

When it comes to recent polling, Trump lost six points in Republican voter polls after his indictment on charges related to suspected mishandling of classified documents – allowing DeSantis to close the gap between the two front runners for 2024’s presidential GOP candidate.

The former president still holds a commanding 47 percent of support among Republican voters, according to a CNN/SSRS survey released last week.

DeSantis consistently comes in second place but is 21 percent behind Trump in the most recent polling.

When the same survey was taken in May, Trump was ahead of DeSantis by 27 percent – 53 percent to 26 percent.

The biggest change between May and June polling was that Trump was handed a federal indictment by the Justice Department with 37 counts against him in the case involving his handling of classified documents when leaving office.

Nearly two-thirds of Americans approve of the decision to indict Trump – but a whopping 92 percent of Republicans feel that politics played a role in the charges. Even 63 percent of Democrats say they feel the same.
