A disappointed bride has shared how her new husband vanished as soon as he received a new visa, merely hours after their £26,000 wedding. Isabelle Glastonbury, 31, has since gotten back with her senior school lover.
Isabelle and her ex moved to Sydney, Australia after meeting in Dallas in 2015. They had what was meant to be a perfect wedding at a luxury venue in Palm Beach that was paid for by her parents.
But at a dinner shortly after the wedding, the newly wedded man packed his stuff and disappeared to celebrate his visa, which was paid for by Isabelle’s family, being approved.
Isabelle told Daily Mail Australia: “I got home and literally 90 per cent of his stuff had disappeared.
“I tried logging into our immigration accounts, I had been locked out of everything, my credit cards were maxed-out, and I was blocked on his phone, none of my calls or messages going through.”

The broken-hearted woman remained puzzled in the weeks following the wedding after her husband left without an explanation.
She claims the husband also blanked their mutual friends, including the best man at the wedding, and members of his own family.
Isabelle now acknowledges that there were indeed warning signs she had chosen to overlook.
She recalls how her husband would frequently “disappear at night,” and she often felt as though she was married to a “complete stranger.”
She says that in the days leading up to his disappearance, he had expressed his desire to move to Queensland, purchase a home, and start a family, leaving Isabelle dumbfounded.
She added: “He was not only my husband but also my best friend, someone I trusted completely. He fooled everyone, including me,” Isabelle shares, expressing her deep sense of betrayal
Isabelle has since rekindled her relationship with her childhood sweetheart, Max. The couple have a beautiful three-month-old son named Mason.
She now warns other people about spotting relationship red flags.
She said: “Do not turn a blind eye because, in hindsight, I realize I could have seen the warning signs before this unfortunate event unfolded. You can never truly know who you’re sharing your bed with.”
