The Chase viewers gush over Anne Hegerty's 'gorgeous' new look

Some viewers of The Chase found Anne Hegerty’s “gorgeous” new look a little too hot to handle on Friday (June 9) during the popular ITV gameshow’s Soccer Aid special. Host Bradley Walsh introduced celebrity contestants Dermot O’Leary, Alex Brooker, Lynsey Hipgrave and Kyle Walker, who battled it out to get their hands on the cash prize for charity.

The quartet were given the tough task of defeating The Governess, who brought her A-game against the celebs.

Fans were stunned when the fan-favourite chaser made her walk-out, as Anne had ditched her usual smart number for a slightly more casual attire.

Bradley gushed “Wow you look great”, as Anne made her way to the famous chair donning a football kit – completing the look with red lipstick.

Anne’s new look sent fans wild, wirth one person tweeting: “Anne can blow my whistle anytime she likes.”

A second concurred: “I love Anne so much!” while a third quipped: “It’s the gorgeous Anne.”

Echoing their thoughts, someone else wrote: “Anne should keep that outfit, it suits her much more than the Miss Trunchbull one!”

“Anne looking quite alluring in her referee garb, has to be said,” another viewer gushed.

The celeb quartet did fantastically well on the show, with the first three all securing a place in the final with £19,000 to play for.

It was then Dermot’s turn to challenge The Governess.

With £150,000 on the line, his battle with Anne was rather intense as the former X Factor host fought to get back to his team.

The This Morning presenter got lucky though, and despite not buzzing in an answer on one of the questions, Dermot managed to get home with his jaw-dropping amount – increasing the total to £169,000.

The celebrities managed to get 21 questions right in the final chase.

When it was Anne’s turn at the oche, she failed to beat the team’s fantastic target meaning they secured the £169,000 for charity.
