EastEnders Christmas murder victim 'exposed' as star speaks out on Denise Fox rivalry

EastEnders fans are eagerly awaiting the festive period after the BBC soap teased an explosive murder plot, which will take place at Christmas this year.

The scene shows some of the soap’s most iconic female characters standing over a dead body at the Queen Vic.

Yet the identity of the victim has been kept under wraps, with viewers attempting to guess who it could be.

The only real clue so far is that the victim is male, with many viewers already believing Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) will be killed off.

At the British Soap Awards 2023, actor Aaron addressed whether his character is in the running to be the victim.

He told Express.co.uk: “There is every chance, there is every possibility.

“He has made a few enemies and there are more enemies to come which is quite difficult to fathom as he has made quite a few already.

“There’s a lot more highs and lows in the drama so it’s all teeing up for an exciting Christmas.”

On whether there were any other characters who were keen to see Ravi killed off, he said: “Between the women, I think Ravi has got enemies with Suki, Denise…and there’s a few more.”

The star opened up about whether he would reunite with Denise Fox (Diane Parish), which could lead to Denise turning to violence.

He said: “I think we quickly saw that when Ravi was scorned and he tried to play a manipulative game in pursuing Chelsea that his head was turned.

“He started to feel something for Chelsea and so if anything I think his heart is with Chelsea.”

The actor was also asked whether Ravi had the potential to uncover Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin’s (Heather Peace) relationship.

“He could do,” he said. “I mean, it would be interesting to see what he thinks of it… I don’t know if he would care much, to be honest.”

The grim flash-forward showed Denise holding a broken bottle surrounded by five other women from the Square – Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Suki, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
