Holly Willoughby will rejoin This Morning with Josie Gibson as she makes her first appearance since Phillip Schofield quit ITV.
The host has been on an extended break and has since opened up about Phillip’s explosive exit from This Morning and the network.
Questions have now been raised as to whether she will decide to stay, or move on in light of the recent controversies.
GB News guest Stephanie Takyi argues Holly is going to “have to address Phillip” on her return, but “the show must go on”.
She had been discussing the fact Phillip Schofield had been replaced by Jane McDonald for next week’s British Soap Awards.

She said: “On Monday, Holly is coming back to the sofa, she’s quite adamant she has watched the interview with Phillip and sources are saying though while she is saddened about what’s happened, the show must go on.
“So she will be presenting the show alongside Josie Gibson. A lot of people were saying Alison [Hammond] but I think Alison will still be drafted in maybe the week after next.”
Her comments came after Alison broke down in tears live on the show as she addressed Phillip’s latest interview with the BBC.
On why Holly is right to go back to the show on Monday, Stephanie said: “Holly has been pretty strong through this.
“Because I think most people would have stepped back and said ‘Forget it’.
“But I think from what I have read and what I have heard, Holly’s persistence will be like ‘I’m not guilty of doing anything wrong’.
“And by her standing down, that’s her giving in to cancel culture and she’s got a bigger brand, bigger than This Morning.
“If she steps back from This Morning, she has to step back from the rest of her deals, so I think for Holly it’s business as usual.
“But like Alison, I think she is going to have to address it, she cannot just come in on Monday on the sofa and not mention Phillip.
“And not mention that there has been a change in the show and that there will likely be more changes to come.”
Her comments come after Holly took to social media for the first time since Phillip left ITV.
Avoiding the drama, she posted about summer hair care whilst in Portugal with her family.
