Chelsea trio latest
Graham Potter has had to contend with a number of injuries throughout his squad in his maiden season in charge at Stamford Bridge. And there are even more question marks on who will be ready to face Aston Villa on Saturday night with a tough home match against Liverpool just three days later.
The double gameweek means FPL managers will likely want to have some Chelsea assets in their squad, but there’s still concerns on whether Reece James, Raheem Sterling or Kai Havertz will be back and available. James is the biggest concern after appearing to aggravate his troublesome hamstring injury, forcing him to withdraw from England’s squad ahead of their match against Ukraine.
Sterling was left out of Gareth Southgate’s squad altogether, also with a hamstring injury, and it’s not clear whether he’ll be fit to face Villa or Liverpool. Havertz joined the growing list of doubts for Potter after he picked up a flu infection while on international duty.
