Everyone wants to know what’s going on with the Aaron Rodgers situation, but don’t ask Packers CEO Mark Murphy about it.
Murphy, a former Northwestern and Colgate athletic director who has been with Green Bay since 2007, made it clear he wouldn’t talk about the Rodgers trade drama during a Tech Summit at Lambeau Field on Monday.
“Yeah and you know, we’ve got no other news really going on,” Murphy said with a laugh. “I would love to tell you everything you want to know about Aaron Rodgers and the Jets but I’m sworn to secrecy not to say anything.”
During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” last week, Rodgers said he intended on playing for the Jets next season.
The Packers hold an option on the 39-year-old’s contract that they don’t need to exercise until September, which could hold up a potential Jets trade.
Earlier this month, before Rodgers’ comments on the “The Pat McAfee Show”, Murphy said the Packers were prepared to move on from the four-time NFL MVP who won one Super Bowl for the club.

“We’re very appreciative of what Aaron has meant to the team and the organization. We want to be respectful and also help him achieve what he wants.”
There has been a debate on whether the Packer or Jets hold the leverage in their trade talk with former Green Bay executive Andrew Brandt believing his former club is in the driver’s seat and former Eagles GM Joe Banner telling The Post’s Brian Costello last week that Gang Green hold all the cards.
Murphy apparently isn’t allowed to shed any light on the subject.
