Britney Spears' family 'planned intervention' amid fears 'she could die' due to behaviour

A source told Page Six exclusively, however, that the intervention never took place because it was deemed “unnecessary”.

The insider continued: “Unfortunately, there is a lot of hysteria in the media right now, but Britney is fine, and much of this has been overblown and grossly distorted.”

According to TMZ, Britney did, however, agree to meet with a doctor, although it is unknown if it was a therapist or physician.

Express.co.uk has contacted Britney’s reps for comment.

This comes as the police were called to Britney’s property to perform a welfare check, after she shut down her Instagram page, sparking concerns from fans.
