While you were wassailing with loved ones, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) was dreaming of his beloved wife Claire (Caitriona Balfe) haloed in electric light in the future. Ever since Outlander premiered on Starz back in 2014, the steamy genre-bending series has captivated romance fans. We’ve watched as Claire Beauchamp Randall acclimated to the rough and tumble world of 1740s Scotland after being magically transported from her native post-World War II life. Claire returned to her timeline, gave birth to her and Jamie’s daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton), became a doctor, and journeyed back into the past…with her intrepid daughter and boyfriend Roger (Richard Rankin) hot on their heels.
Now the Frasers have settled in Revolutionary War era America and are bracing for the battles to come. Will Claire once again use her knowledge of history to save the ones she loves? Will Brianna and Roger continue to forge a new life for themselves in a world without plumbing or central air conditioning? Will some creepy guy commit sexual assault?
