Man Utd transfer news LIVE: Gakpo breakthrough 'soon', Fred price tag set, De Gea interest

Atletico Madrid are among the teams keeping track of David de Gea’s situation after it emerged that Man Utd might not extend his contract beyond the end of this season, according to transfer expert Ekrem Konur

Ten Hag is supposedly open to a new No 1 at Old Trafford with De Gea occupying a huge space on the club’s wage bill.

The Spaniard supposedly wants to stay beyond 2023 but the club are yet to make their mind up. De Gea, 32, came through the youth ranks at Atletico and made more than 50 first-team appearances before joining United in 2011.
