Four glamorous destinations for Luis Enrique as axed Spain boss 'targets club return'

Manchester United

With few potential vacancies among Europe’s heavyweights, Enrique may have to be patient if he wants one of the top jobs. Most United fans are perfectly happy with the job done by Erik ten Hag so far, despite a well-publicised rift with Cristiano Ronaldo, as they sit within touching distance of the top four during the World Cup break.

But Enrique was heavily linked to the Red Devils hotseat before Ten Hag was hired, which naturally raises the possibility of an appointment occurring further down the line. It would be unthinkable to see United’s current boss sacked before the end of the current season, but a dramatic downturn in form could cause the club’s hierarchy to go back to the drawing board.
