Super Salah loves a big occasion
Salah has endured an underwhelming season by his own meteoric standards, but he’s somewhat been back to his brilliant best in recent weeks. The 30-year-old has scored five goals in his last four games in all competitions and continued his sublime record against the Premier League’s ‘Big Six’ at Spurs.
He’s now scored 10 goals against Spurs and United, more than any other opposition in his career, nine against Manchester City, eight against Arsenal and seven against Chelsea. If Liverpool are to finish in the top four this term, Salah going at his current rate would be a major factor.

Konate shows Klopp what he’s been missing
Klopp handed Ibrahima Konate his first Premier League start of the campaign after overcoming frustrating injury woes. And the Frenchman showcased exactly what Liverpool have missed in the opening months with a monstrous display at the back.
Konate took 87 touches, maintained a 74 per cent pass accuracy, made eight clearances and two interceptions, and won three tackles and 11 out of his 13 duels. Klopp and the Liverpool faithful will be desperate for him to remain fit over the World Cup break.

Alexander-Arnold doesn’t help Southgate headache
Trent Alexander-Arnold is a name on many lips ahead of Gareth Southgate selecting his final 26-man England squad for the World Cup in Qatar. And his performance at Tottenham wouldn’t have helped the Three Lions boss’ decision, as he showcased his usual attacking brilliance while familiar defensive frailties were also present.
Reece James’ recent boost in his recovery and Kieran Trippier’s continued form prompted further questions over whether Alexander-Arnold would feature in Southgate’s thinking. It still feels like the Liverpool ace may have a little more convincing to do to move up the pecking order.
