Kurt Warner claims it is 'time to walk away' for 'exhausted' Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers

NFL analyst and former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner claimed former MVPs Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers both look exhausted this season and urged them to retire.

Both former MVP quarterbacks have struggled this season due to various concerns on the field, and both look as if time has finally caught up to them.

Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have struggled on offense due to health issues along the offensive line and more importantly an increased reliance on young wide receivers, following the departure of Devante Adams.

Green Bay has gone 3-4 while Rodgers is 163-244 for 1597 yards, 11 touchdowns and three interceptions.

Seven-time Super Bowl winner Brady had announced his retirement back in February but performed a U-turn just six weeks later to return for this season. However, in addition to his woes on the field, the quarterback is battling marital problems with wife Gisele Bundchen.

Warner has now claimed the two players have looked exhausted this season and suggested it was time the pair called it quits.

‘I think both of those guys look like they’re exhausted,’ Warner told People.

‘It’s OK to go, ‘You know what? It’s not how it used to be. I may not be who I used to be, or, it’s just too hard overall to get everybody up to the standard. Maybe it is time to walk away. ‘

‘It’s not being defeated,’ Warner advised. ‘That’s not saying you can’t do it anymore. I just think sometimes that stuff outweighs the joy of the game, which is what it looks like is happening for those two guys and I feel for them.’

Rodgers has blamed his young teammates on multiple occasions for making countless ‘mental mistakes,’ and has recently drawn criticism from former Packer Greg Jennings as well as former Saints head coach Sean Payton.

Brady and the Buccaneers have also struggled on offense due to injuries at the wide receiver position and a revamped offense line, that to this point has been a downgrade from last season.

The quarterback often referred to as ‘the goat,’ has gone 198-296, with 1,942 yards, eight touchdowns and only one interception.

While his team is also 3-4 Brady has had to deal with serious off the field problems. He and his wife Giselle Bunchden have been surrounded by divorce rumors, as it seems the couple’s marriage is headed for an unceremonious end.

Warner also provided insight into the work-life balance on and off the pitch, amid Brady’s marital woes.

‘You try to balance that the best you can or you try to balance it in the off-season. It’s a high-pressure job with a lot of expectations and it’s tough,’ Warner said

‘Another reason why those last couple years I was doing more and more and more [was] because I felt like there was more expected of me or there was more I needed to do for us to be successful.’

‘It started to take more and more away from my family and my time, and again, me physically to be able to give them the time and effort that I wanted, because my mind was always on other things. So all of that really just kinda played into why I made that decision, but it’s hard.’

Bundchen has allegedly hired Florida’s top divorce lawyer after her relationship with NFL legend Brady turned ‘very nasty.’

The supermodel is said to have started gearing up for the long fight by hiring Tom Sasser – whose previous clients include Tiger Woods and Jeff Gordon.

Bundchen, 42, was spotted out and about earlier this month while running errands without her diamond wedding ring – as rumors about her marriage continued to swirl. Earlier this week, her NFL beau, 45, was also seen without a ring.

Sources told Page Six the addition of divorce lawyers has caused the stressful separation to turn ‘very nasty between Tom and Gisele.’

‘They are ready to fight,’ the source said. ‘It will take some time to divide their immense wealth and property all over the world.’

The high-profile couple are said to be on neutral grounds regarding their two shared kids Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, nine – opting for joint custody. Brady also has another son Jack, 15, with ex Bridget Moynahan.

Bundchen has been jet-setting recently while Brady hangs out in Miami during the football season. They’ve been living separately since reportedly having an huge fight over Brady’s announcement he wasn’t going to retire, with many speculating that’s what prompted their ongoing rift.

He had initially quit his football career, in part, to focus on his family – as he vowed to spend more time with them since Gisele ‘deserves what she needs from me as a husband, and my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad.’

However, a source confirmed to DailyMail.com in late-September that their physical separation was not impacted by Brady’s move to rejoin his beloved sport.

The mother-of-two briefly mentioned her feelings on the topic in an interview with Elle magazine in September, revealing: ‘I feel very fulfilled, as a mother and as a wife. And now it’s going to be my turn.’

Gisele added: ‘I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom]. I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams.

‘Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed, and being fulfilled in his career—it makes me happy.

‘At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that. I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do. At 42, I feel more connected with my purpose.’

Despite the rocky relationship, Brady announced earlier this week that he had no plans for retirement in the near future. He said: ‘I love the sport, and I love the teammates, and I want to go do a great job for this team like I always have. No retirement in my future.’

His wife of 13 years has not attended any of Brady’s Bucs games this season.
