Tucker Carlson DEFENDS Kanye West likening him to the Tiananmen Square protestor

Tucker Carlson has defended Kanye West just hours after the rapper was suspended from Twitter for a vile, anti-Semitic rant declaring war on the Jewish community.

The Fox News host continued to tout the troubled rapper after a series of controversies, which kicked off when he donned ‘White Lives Matter’ shirts at Paris Fashion Week with Candace Owens.

In his pre-recorded, two-part interview with Carlson, West likened himself and Owens to the 1989 protesters at Tiananmen Square.

During the protest, students and young adults defied the Chinese government in a show of Pro-democracy rebellion that resulted in a bloody crackdown by the military.

In an iconic moment, a lone man walked up to a line of tanks on Tiananmen Square in a brave display of peaceful protest.

Carlson agreed with West’s analysis, saying: ‘Like Tiananmen Square, Ye West and Candace Owens, standing there in front of the tank which is the international media.’

Owens concured with the analysis and said she was more than happy to help West with the stunt, and later on in her own podcast, the conservative pundit went also defended West for the lastest backlash about his tweet, claiming he wasn’t being anti-Semitic.

Following his Instagram suspension from Instagram, West tweeted that he was going to go 'death con 3 on Jewish people,' leadin to his latest suspension

Following his Instagram suspension from Instagram, West tweeted that he was going to go ‘death con 3 on Jewish people,’ leadin to his latest suspension

West’s Twitter account was suspended over the weekend after he tweeted: ‘I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.’

He added: ‘The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also. You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.’

His renewed attack on Jewish people comes just a day after sharing screenshots on Instagram revealing messages sent to Diddy in which West, 45, accused the rapper of being controlled by Jewish people trying to silence his ‘White Lives Matter’ message.

The post resulted in his Instagram account being suspended.

In his interview with Carlson about the incident that started his latest outbursts, West described himself and Ownes as ‘soldiers’ battling for ‘life itself’ when they shocked audiences in Paris last week.

‘For me to just go out and state an obvious and empathetic statement in the middle of the most liberal country, that was like Tiananmen square, with Candace Owens’ West said about wearing the ‘White Lives Matter’ t-shirts.

‘And we both wore the shirt at the same time. You know, we’ve got some soldiers out here. People say they’re willing to die for it, but we live for it. We living for the battle.

‘What’s the battle for? Life itself. Our children.’

Speaking to Carlson, Owens defended her actions with West, saying they were part of his ‘artistic expression’ to expose ‘hypocrisy.’

‘For years, we were told that Black Lives Matter was not an exclusionary phrase,’ Owens said. ‘We were told that, “It’s just what we’re saying. We’re not trying to leave White people out. We’re just saying this because this is a moment that Black Americans need to have in this country.”

‘They were totally fine when Asian Lives Matter became a slogan as well.’

She also claimed there was an ‘undeniable’ hate towards white people in America.

Back on her own podcast for the Daily Wire, Ownes continued to defend West, claiming that his tweet was not anti-Semitic.

‘You did not think that he wrote this tweet because he hates or wants to genocide Jewish people,’ Owens said. ‘This does not represent the beginning of a Holocaust.’

Owens ulitmately said the media was overreacting, and that rather than being anti-Semitic, West was trying to prove a point.

‘It’s like you cannot even say the word “Jewish” without people getting upset in the same way that you’re not allowed to say “Black” anymore,’ Owens said.

For his part, Carlson failed to make any mention about West’s tweets, instead wrapping up his show by dismissing bigotry.

‘No group – no group – no matter what they look like or what they believe should be put up with being singled out on the basis of immutable characteristics,’ Carlson said. ‘There should be zero tolerance for that.’

The chaos surrounding West has even pulled in the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, who tweeted: ‘Talked to ye today & expressed my concerns about his recent tweet, which I think he took to heart.’

It’s been an active weekend for the mogul on social media, as he went after Mark Zuckerberg for restricting his Instagram after he posted a now-deleted private conversation with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

In the text exchange, Combs tries to get West to stop sporting shirts emblazoned with White Lives Matter.

‘I’m trying to talk to you as a black man. And I’m talking to you because this is hurting our people. Stop.’

West replied: ‘Anything you text I will post.’ The rapper and fashion mogul kept his word, posting the entire exchange to his 18 million followers.

The series of texts ended with West accusing Combs of being controlled by Jewish people – an antisemitic conspiracy theory.

‘This ain’t a game. Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me,’ West wrote his friend.

He reportedly captioned the post of the text exchange ‘Jesus is Jew.’ The American Jewish Committee has since condemned West, saying his post was ‘dangerous.’

After his initial posts were removed by Meta, which owns Instagram, Ye called out Zuckerberg’s company on Twitter for restricting his account.

‘Look at this, Mark. How you gone kick me off Instagram. You use to be my n***a.’

He posted the tweet alongside a photo of the pair performing karaoke at an unknown time.

A Meta spokesperson said: ‘We may place restrictions on accounts that repeatedly break our rules.’

It is unclear what rule West broke in that instance, but he has been using the platform with growing frequency to bash numerous people, including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

In his first sit down with Carlson after he returned from Paris Fashion Week, West told the Fox host the shirt came from his ‘energy’ and his ‘connection with God.’

‘I do certain things from a feeling, I just channel the energy. It feels right, hits using a gut instinct, connection with God and just brilliance,’ he said, adding that the  idea of him ‘wearing the shirt was funny’ and his father – who he claimed is a former Black Panther – thought so too.

‘I said: ‘Dad, why do you think it’s funny?’ and he said: ‘It’s just a black man stating the obvious,’ ‘ he told Carlson.

‘That was my favorite response, because I kept thinking: People are looking for an explanation. And people say as an artist you have don’t have to an explanation, but as a leader you do. ‘

West also spoke with Fox News' Tucker Carlson recently about the shirts and said he does 'certain things from a feeling, I just channel the energy. It feels right, hits using a gut instinct, connection with God and just brilliance'

He also said the controversy is that white people ‘have stripped us of our identity and labeled us as a color have told us what it means to be black.’

‘The answer to why I wrote ‘White Lives Matter’ on a shirt is because they do. It’s the obvious thing.’

Many have called the fashion designer out for the slogan, including model Gigi Hadid, who branded him a ‘bully’ after he lashed out at Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson when she called his move ‘violent’ and ‘dangerous.’

He later walked back on his criticism, insisting he had no issue with Vogue’s contributing fashion editor.

His spokesman Jason Lee quit in protest at the provocative show, writing on Instagram that West was ‘gaslighting black people and empowering white supremacy.’
