Spoon-bender Uri Geller says he will use 'Mind Power' to prevent a Russian nuclear attack

Self-proclaimed psychic Uri Geller has stepped in to pull the world back from the brink of World War 3 with a truly mind-bending warning to Russian president Vladimir Putin.

The illusionist and TV personality, who has seemingly added master negotiator and savant of international geopolitics to his CV, yesterday posted a dramatic video to Twitter in which he personally called out Putin for nuclear sabre-rattling.

‘I have a warning for you, Putin,’ the British-Israeli spoon-bender proclaimed dramatically as he postured in front of a huge screen displaying a backdrop of the Kremlin chief and a nuclear mushroom cloud.

‘I urge you all to read my warning, all of you,’ he continued, before stepping forward and pushing his face to within an inch of the camera to declare: ‘And I’m serious about it. Very!’

The bizarre video was quickly topped moments later when Geller posted an even more outrageous letter to Putin, threatening to use ‘every last molecule of my mind power to prevent you from launching a nuclear attack’.

He went on to implore social media users to ‘just take five seconds out of your day to visualise a radiant, energetic force field – like a dazzling, golden shield in the sky’ that he claimed would deflect any nuclear warheads deployed by the Kremlin, turning them back to destroy Russia.

In his open letter to Putin, Geller said: ‘I am issuing this statement as a serious warning to you:

‘If you resort to the use of Nuclear Weapons your plans and your missiles will backfire on you!

‘I will use every last molecule of my Mind Power to prevent you from launching a nuclear attack!

‘And I am calling on all the wonderful, peace-loving people of the world to join me.

‘Please stop what you are doing right now and just take five seconds out of your day to visualise a radiant, energetic force field – like a dazzling, golden shield in the sky – that will deflect and turn back any nuclear warheads that Putin attempts to deploy!’

The psychic, who claims to have a history of undercover work with the Mossad in his native Israel and even the CIA, spoke of rumours that Putin is considering targeting UK naval bases on the west coast of Scotland.

Speaking directly to the Kremlin chief in a tone reminiscent of Alec Guinness’ Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: A New Hope, he continued: ‘As well as harnessing this immense energy of all our combined Mind Power there are also forces far, far greater than you can imagine that I am sure will intervene to prevent you from starting a nuclear war.

‘They are watching and waiting and they will STOP you.

‘Do not contemplate this dire course of action.

‘Please take heed: if you proceed it is Russia and its people who will suffer the most.

‘Your mission control computers will crash, your navigation systems will fail and your missiles will malfunction!

‘You have been warned.’

Geller, who lives in Israel with his wife but owns a small spit of land off the coast of Scotland he claims is a ‘keystone of British mythology’, rose to fame in the 1970s with an act based around his apparent psychic powers and telepathy skills.

He is best known for his trademark spoon-bending trick and is a proud collector of culinary implements used by world leaders and celebrities.

Former owners of some of the many spoons in his collection include Napoleon, John F. Kennedy, Elvis Presley, the Dalai Lama and Gandhi.

The eccentric TV performer says he had his first encounter with a extra-terrestrial entity when he was five years old, and shortly after found he could activate his powers.

However, a retired Israeli Air Force captain Ya’akov Avrahami claimed years ago to have witnessed Geller’s UFO encounter, while the CIA in 2017 revealed it had subjected Geller to a series of tests and concluded ‘he has demonstrated perceptual ability in a convincing and unambiguous manner.’

Geller has previously called on readers to rub Andy Murray’s dodgy hip to help him beat an injury threatening his 2017 Wimbledon bid and implored Brits to send telepathic messages to Theresa May to stop Brexit – sadly, neither plea was effective.

His threats to Putin made this week quickly garnered a hailstorm of incredulous replies from other users, despite the obviously watertight scientific basis of Geller’s touchingly humanistic plan.

‘I’ve now tried to project by radiant, energetic force field but it wasn’t so much dazzling and golden, more sort of a 20 watt bulb glow,’ one user quipped.

‘It did startle a passing pigeon so I think I’m ready to take on a huge supersonic ICBM.’

‘Are you off your meds again, Charles Xavier?’ another retorted, referencing the fictional psychic professor portrayed by Patrick Stewart in the X-Men series.

Others meanwhile picked up on Geller’s concern over the impact of a nuclear missile strike on Scotland.

‘I know Nicola (Sturgeon) is a bit annoying at times but that would be overkill. Ps. we wouldn’t really miss Glasgow. Might not retaliate.’ one tweet read.

Uri Geller’s full warning to Vladimir Putin

This is a warning to Vladimir Putin.

There are rumours and reports that you are seriously considering the strategic use of a nuclear strike against your ‘enemies in the west’.

I have also heard that your prospective targets include UK naval bases —in particular those on the western coast of Scotland.

So I am issuing this statement as a serious warning to you: If you resort to the use of Nuclear Weapons and decide to target Scotland — or any other country else in the world — your plans, and your missiles, will backfire on you!

I will use every last molecule of my Mind Power to prevent you from launching a nuclear attack! And I am calling on all the wonderful, peace-loving people around the world to join me.

I want EVERYONE who is reading this to take just a few seconds to help me. Please stop what you are doing right now — and just take five seconds out of your day to visualise a radiant, energetic force field — like a dazzling, golden shield in the sky – that will deflect and turn back any nuclear warheads that Putin attempts to deploy!

And to you, Putin, I say this: As well as harnessing this immense energy of all our combined Mind Power – there are also forces far, far greater than you can imagine that I am sure will intervene to prevent you from starting a nuclear war. They are watching and waiting, and they will STOP you.

Do not contemplate this dire course of action. Please take heed: If you proceed it is Russia, and its people, who will suffer the most. Your mission control computers will crash, your navigation systems will fail and your missiles will malfunction!

You have been warned.
