Gina Rodriguez was celebrating for two on Saturday when she marked her birthday and revealed that she was pregnant with her first child.
In a sweet Instagram video featuring her husband Joe Locicero, the Jane The Virgin star, now 38, revealed her positive pregnancy test result.
Gina gushed in her caption that ‘This birthday hits different.’

Gina’s announcement video opened with a sweet photo of herself and Joe as they kissed while out in nature with their dogs, followed by a clip of them smooching and nuzzling their heads together in the great outdoors with a snow-capped mountain in the distance.
Then the camera stopped to gaze upon her while she sat at an open-air restaurant in a tropical spot, before it reversed to show her husband.
She revealed the true purpose of the post when the video cut to the two as Gina held up her pregnancy test to reveal the positive results. She smiled softly as tears of joy welled up in her eyes, while Joe beamed ear-to-ear behind her.
‘Anyone can want you. But love his different when someone actually values you,’ narrated a deep voice on the soundtrack.

It was in 2016 that the two met on set, and by 2018 she revealed that they were engaged. The lovebirds married in 2019.
Joe has tried a variety of trades, including acting and modeling, and he has even worked as an MMA fighter.

The show was a hit with critics and earned Gina a Golden Globe award in 2015 for Best Actress in a television series comedy or musical.
